No. Tesla Motors is producing an electric car that does 0-60 miles in less than 4 seconds and has enough power to drive for 250 miles with a single charge. But there’s a catch to it – the price is $100,000 – one of their customers is, Arnold Schwarzenegger current Governor of California. You will be hearing a presentation by Martin Eberhard, the CEO of Tesla Motors and a visionary with the goal of creating the greatest American car company.

#11 Genentech Tour

GenentechThe USF Net Impact Chapter organized a tour to Genentech, a biotech research company which develops medicines for serious and life-threatening diseases which was named a couple of days ago as the #2 company to work for, by Fortune Magazine. You will hear from Chris Dempsey, a current USF MBA giving a quick overview of the company and answering to some questions from the audience. In the end you will listen to Roberto Piccioni from the Environment, Health, and Safety Department (EHS) talking about some of the sustainability efforts happening at Genentech.
