This is an interview with Verkata CEO, Alper Turgut. Verkata is a startup software company developing mobile and podcasting applications. Alper talks about many of the challenges that all startups face but he also gives some cool tips on how to be successful with your business.

As the only University Business Plan Competition in China open to complete graduate teams from other universities, the HKUST Competition provides a unique entrepreneurial opportunity for all graduate students. Total awards for the competition was approximately $25,000; however, the real prize is the chance for graduate students to offer their business proposals before an international panel of investors and executives in the financial hub of Asia.
This is a presentation by Kevin Dempsey, the executive vice-president at Summa Financial Group. Kevin is a Merger and Aquisitions (M&A) expert who helps small private companies find buyers and advises them on the deals. He came to USF at the invitation of the Entrepreneurship Club and talked about some of the challenges owners face in making sure that the buyer will take care of the business and their employees.
